Australia rules football club players caught harassing motoristsduring Hong Kong trip

CANBERRA, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Australian rules football club,Western Bulldogs on Monday said it is disappointed by the playermisbehavior on a Hong Kong trip late last year.

According to ABC News, the incident happened in November lastyear during an off-season trip and became public on Monday after thefootage was posted on the Internet.

The footage shows Brownlow medallist Adam Cooney and team-mateJarrad Grant playing up and harassing motorists outside a bar on astreet in the Lan Kwai Fong district of Hong Kong, China.

Cooney is seen stopping one vehicle and opening a door, whileGrant and another player sit on the bonnet of a taxi.

In another scene, some players and a woman appear to put theirfoot under the wheel of a vehicle.

According to Bulldogs chief executive Simon Garlick, the clubbecame aware of the video footage several days ago.

"For what's occurred, we're certainly treating it with the utmostseriousness," Garlick told Radio SEN on Monday.

"At this stage, we're looking at providing this as a real warningto the playing group.

"It's real wakeup call for us, we feel we've been really strongin this area and this group in particular is a great bunch of guyswith a high level of integrity.

"It's extremely disappointing."

The video came at the end of a scandal-ridden summer for theAustralian Football League.

The Saints football club have been forced to deal with anembarrassing nude photo scandal, and the suspension of four playersfollowing the misuse of prescription medication and alcohol during atraining camp in New Zealand.

Meanwhile, The Lions' rules football payer Brendan Fevola wasarrested on New Year's Day following an incident in Brisbane ofAustralia. He has been granted indefinite leave from the club.
